ShiVa 1.6.2 OpenGL 3D Game Development Platform now with iPhone export

OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) is a standard specification defining a cross-language cross-platform API for writing applications that produce 2D and 3D computer graphics. The interface consists of over 250 different function calls which can be used to draw complex three-dimensional scenes from simple primitives. OpenGL was developed by Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) in 1992 and is widely used in CAD, virtual reality, scientific visualization, information visualization, and flight simulation. It is also used in video games, where it competes with Direct3D on Microsoft Windows platforms (see Direct3D vs. OpenGL). OpenGL is managed by the not-for-profit technology consortium, the Khronos Group, Inc.

ShiVa is an all-in-one development tool, dedicated to 3D games creation. The engine is cross platform, and uses OpenGL for rendering on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, and OpenGL ES on embedded devices. In other words, ShiVa is an authoring tool for creating interactive 3D graphics such as video games, serious game and all other 3d real time applications. The game engine uses OpenGL, OpenGL ES or DirectX, and can also run in software mode.

ShiVa is a unique tool, based on the StoneTrip cross-platform technology [Ston3D]. Its applications can be used directly without any alteration on the web or through the standalone engine (Ston3D Player) regardless of capacity or power. Ston3D Engine is now available for iPhone and iPod Touch ! It enables users to create 3D Games and publish them on the AppStore directly from ShiVa without any fees.
